Re: Simplest way to create map from Sketchfab?

See my answer there: https://github.com/Unvanquished/unvanquished-mapeditor-support/issues/18#issuecomment-527203334 Note that I moved your topic from “ Map Releases ” (which is to announce ready to use maps) to “ Level Design ” (which is to talk about mapping in general: tools, how to do things, as...

Re: Building Unvanquished git on Lubuntu

Yeah, as said on GitHub the debian build scripts are not currently maintained so don't expect to get something with that. The usual cmake method must work.

In anyway, welcome !

Re: Such a great game, but....

Would you guys consider hosting the game on Steam? We are not against the idea of being available on Steam. By the way, it's important to say that Steam is not an hosting service. Putting a game on Steam is not about hosting files, it's about publishing a game, and publishing a game is full time jo...

Re: Unvanquished 0.51.1 server map rotation not working

Hi @constatinus. You can forget the ~/.unvanquished directory since it's the older directory used by previous versions of the game. Newer versions starting with 0.51.1 (the current one at the time I'm writing this) now follows XDG guidelines and use ~/.local/share/unvanquished directory inst...

Re: alpha testing the next release [0.51.0]

If some submodules are empties (should not if your clone is a fresh one), do that to fetch them:

Code: Select all

git submodule update --init --recursive

alpha testing the next release [0.51.0]

Hi, if you know how to clone a repository and to build it, you can help us by testing the next version of Unvanquished. You can fetch the sources, build the game and join a testing server that way: git clone https://github.com/Unvanquished/Unvanquished.git cd Unvanquished git fetch for-0.51.0...

Geomorph: free & open source terrain generator

Hey, one day I received an e-mail from a French guy who just wanted to share his own findings. Well, the e-mail was written in very formal French so I'll try to translate in English: Hi, being interested in experimental map modelling that could possibly run on Unvanquished or Xonotic using Darkradia...

Re: Area³: a map by newin featuring an infested laboratory

I noticed a bug newin introduced between beta3 and beta4, one shelf unit in laboratory is completely invisible, it would not be a problem if they were not visible cardboards on invisible shelves. I'm not sure it would be possible to make the shelf unit visible again if some information was ...
