[WIP] Terminus, the new name of the Metro map by newin

The UT Metro map is now named “Terminus” to avoid conflicts with the KOsAD one. :bsuit:

A small visible change, I replaced a “swat” barricade tape with a “quarantine area” one :grin: , so it fits better the Unvanquished universe:

I also fixed the build issues, Unvanquished use the same surfaceparm bits for “nobuild” textures than Urban Terror uses for “metal footstep” textures, so I've just removed the bits according to the documentation. :wink:

I've uploaded my WIP repository on GitHub: https://github.com/interstellar-oasis/map-terminus

I've created a new organization named “Interstellar Oasis” where I will upload all the maps I'm working on (including those from Tremulous), I've created this organization to not mess my own GitHub, there will be one git repository per map so there will be some dozens of repositories when I will upload my Tremulous work in progress. :tongue:

So, a preview of the map is playable on my server, the map is in rotation list and you can callvote it. :wink:

I will not be available next sunday for the community game because I will be at a wedding, but if you want to play the map, enjoy it and feel free to report problems you may experience.

You can get the map joining my server or downloading it here: map-terminus_b2~1.pk3.

Things I can fix:

  • wrong nobuild surface
  • some texture issue
  • some lightmap issue

Things I can't fix:

  • geometry, I can't make a door larger or move a room
  • overlapping textures

The current layout is very basic currently, it can be improved a lot, feel free to give some ideas! :wink:

If you want to help, there is two things you can do:

1. suggest a layout (you can send me a layout file)

2. help me to fix this bug:

It seems to be a lightmap issue, if it's a lightmap issue it can be fixed with a simple drawing software (even mspaint!) but we must find the right lightmap file. There is 199 pictures in the maps/terminus/ directory inside the bsp, if someone find which of them has this pattern, I can fix it. :wink:
