New map : RSMSE by Echon
Re: New map : RSMSE by Echon
Great! What if we all meet at gg.illwieckz.net 20-30 min before the next dev game (Sunday, 20:00 UTC/GMT) to test this map?

Re: New map : RSMSE by Echon
You can, it's a nice idea, but sorry I will not be able to play next gamedev (I will be in a train) but you can play without me, my server does not travel with me.

Re: New map : RSMSE by Echon
So I have edited it one more time.
This green lightmap was strange:

So I added a green light:

It's not a bug, it’s a feature!

Basic stairs in alien base:

Basic ladders in human base:

New turret orientation (done in previous version):

So you can now get it (but you can autodownload it on “gg.illwieckz.net”):
map: map-rsmse_0~unv-a37-illwieckz+2.pk3 (7 Mb)
source: map-rsmse_0~unv-a37-illwieckz+2.pk3dir.zip (10.4 Mb)

Re: New map : RSMSE by Echon
You should use light emitting lamp shaders, they look a lot better than point lights (and somewhat realistic to begin with given that there is an actual light source).
Responsible for: Arch Linux package & torrent distribution, Parpax (map), Chameleon (map texture editor), Sloth (material file generator), gameplay design & programming, artistic direction

Hi, I uploaded my patches on GitHub, so you can track my changes:

What I want to do in the future:

What I want to do in the future:
- use light emitting lamp shaders as suggested by Viech
- improve the stairs (climbing on them is not a smooth move currently)
