After updating to newest release and also updating pak0 and pak1 files, I can't hear all of the human weapon sounds. Also, I get following errors when connected to server. Not sure if they are related but here it is.

It appears that I'm the only one affected. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? The errors and the lack of weapon sounds appeared when I updated the pak0 and pak1 files. Are there older version of those files?
Forgot to add that this happens to both Vista and Linux (Open SuSE).
Hmm, I have a feeling you have some weird PK3s lying around. I got this on one of my test systems and deleting any misc asset pk3s seemed to fix the issue. Make sure you have the latest asset paks from sourceforge.
All pk3 files are those of maps and pak0 and pak1 files. There are no other asset pk3s. And the pak0 and pak1 files are freshly downloaded from sourceforge.
Are you sure you actually replaced the old one? (meaning you deleted the old one. My 1.1 had (still) problems with pk3s fighting over each other due to oticz's HUD when it didn't uninstall permenantly.) Also, you might've downloaded something you didn't realise from a server so check your appdata/application support/whatever linux version is.
I found cgame.mp.i386.so, ui.mp.i386.so, and qagame.mp.i386.so files in .Unvanquished/main directory. Once I deleted them, all the errors are gone and I can hear weapon sounds again.
Those old files were interfering with new ones and causing the problems.
Thanks for the help.
Well, the flashDLight token was a new token added for this alpha for dynamic light. Perhaps you don't have the latest DLL/sos in the right place?
I checked the exporting guide I wrote and I had no flashDLight listed (but there is a flashDLightColor). Then I realized that there is quite a bit of difference between src/gamelogic/base/src/cgame/cg_weapons.c and src/gamelogic/gpp/src/cgame/cg_weapons.c (which does parse for flashDLight), the former of which I was (wrongly) using as a reference. I don't fully understand the engine but would it be possible that JOURNEYMAN has the wrong library or whatever? I.e., compiled with the wrong code there?
