I've installed the game ok on my laptop and tried doing the same on my desktop which is what I normally game on. I've ended up with an error that prevents installing unvanquished-common and I have no idea how to get rid of it.

I've gone as far as removing the paragraph for unvanquished-common in /var/lib/dpkg/status, then apt-get --purge remove unvanquished unvanquished-common, then rm /var/cache/apt/archives/unvanquished*, then sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. I keep getting this error.
I would appreciate some advice on how to fix this. My laptop which is running the same OS (64 bit Ubuntu saucy, fully updated) does not have a problem (although I can't get a server to load without an outdated message or a crash). I usually run apt-cacher-ng, but removed the proxy settings after a few attempts to see if it would help fixing this.
