He's been coming out very nicely in-game.

Personally, I feel that we're finally going to stop resembling Tremulous once the human model is in-game and the HUDs for both teams are replaced with our own. When you look at the HUD Gireen has been making, and you look at the new human model in-game, you really feel like you're looking at a different game entirely. Classic Tremguy has nothing on this dude.

I've made some animations recently so you can check them out
http://youtu.be/7cGIHrWmXoM
After i rendered them, i've found a lot of bugs and glitches, so the word "preliminary" says it all :)
Cheers!

Have you guys considered using a standard humanoid animation rig and mocap? Worldforge are already working on a standard rig that you might want to look into. Hope its ok that I link to a video of it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-jm4Lsbwkk

Great work Gavlig, this is coming along nicely.

I'm personally not a fan of mo-cap, I think I've just seen too much lazy mo-cap. Its only ever any good when its been tweaked by an animator afterwards. I always feel there's a lot of charm that's lost with mo-cap.

No, but you can squeal if you want to.

Excellent work Gavlig!

However, I do think that it's unrealistic for a human to be running with a weapon at his shoulder. You're animation would be raised from an 8.5 to a 9.5 (in my humble opinion) if you would add proper stances for each stage of movement. For instance, when walking, the weapon is shouldered. When running, it's at the waist.

i ran with shouldered weapon. It was airsoft, but it weights 3.5 kilograms. Not that i I don't accept others' opinions, but running with weapon shouldered is possible and real. I can assume that me running with airsoft 3.5 kilo gun is unrealistic, but i want a proof.
