Development Game [ 2013-01-05 ]

Post by Viech »

This was as expected a smaller match since it happened on a release day. However, the matches we had were fun and I couldn't spot any major gameplay issues, yay!

What has been tested?

New turret implementation round two.

Analysis

With regards to that parpax match (and humans dominating the average graph):

<Viech> `Ishq, you wanna see human domination on parpax? :D

<Viech> we built aliens in from every site
<Viech> it was hilarious
<Viech> "They can only be at this place now, because we built everywhere else." – Viech crouches in vent – "Nevermind, we've been there."

What's next?

I'll probably make a pause from gameplay development to prepare texture packages for mappers to use (that are shipped with the game).

That match was evil! :P
..but educational. It's something new for people like me who are used to Tremulous, but definitely not a bad thing. It's a new element of the metagame we have to learn how to deal with, and I think it's an interesting one :)

It will soon be time to break things again.

Debian and Ubuntu packages (squeeze, wheezy, sid; 12.04, 12.10, 13.04) may work on derivatives

OFFEND! … no, that's not right… ATTACK!
