I was thinking of an actual laser beam, maybe one that deals increasing damage the longer you hit the same target to make it less of a nuisance to small aliens. We could also use your sound and make it pulse (but still have a visible ray), it doesn't matter too much gameplay wise.

Looking really good so far! +1 for making the floor all lit. +2 for lots of trims. Some weirdly stretched textures on the screenshots though. Have yet to have a look at the map ingame – I hope we can host another batch of dev games with gameplay changes and some people soon.

Oh there's not much to do in the engine, just give it the standard name for the secondary/tertiary attack animation and we should be able to play it accordingly. I'm not sure what the conventions here are, that is whether pounce would take the second/third attack animation slot or has a slot of its ...

Awesome! I love the attack animation in particular. You got left and right mixed up, though. :grin:

Any thoughts on a shooting animation? Maybe it could eject something from its mouth.
