Re: Pistol

Yeah I would back the back sight all the way to the back of the slide (at the same time getting rid of the hump thing) so it is as far back as the hammer. I would also make the trigger guard hole bigger by expanding it upwards. That would also mean moving the slide release a bit higher up. At the bus...

Re: Pistol

Correction: That is actually a thumb safety. In my defence the ones we used had a manual decocker in pretty much the same place. :)

Re: Pistol

That is a manual decocking lever. It is used on traditional double action firearms, mostly guns derived from the colt 1911, to manually drop the hammer safely from a single stage trigger pull to a "safe" dual stage trigger pull. On the first shot with a DA gun you hve to first pull back th...

Re: Pistol

Revolvers can be had with anything from 5 to 9 shots these days. 5-7 is normal. 8 or 9 requires smaller bullets. They probably make a few outside that range too.

Revolvers are cool.

Re: Sniper Rifle

I colored the parts I don't understand, see the attached image. The scope is a bit too far forwards. The ejection port is still too small The square bit on the forward handle There is a lot of wasted space between the trigger and magazine. The finger guard is also very big. The square bit on the sto...

Re: Sniper Rifle

The optic should open up a bit at the end of the scope. You might look at the trijicon acog optics for inspiration. http://lib.opticsplanet.com/acog-info1.jpg For the bipod legs I dunno... are we likely to want the bipod legs dangling down all the time? If not they should be drawn in the "up&qu...

Re: Sniper Rifle

If you want to model it as an energy weapon that is fine... Just make it en ergonomic one. Boxy is not okay even in the future.

I think the lasgun model is doing it right:

Re: Sniper Rifle

Alright this a lot of stuff to work with, great! I'd just like to point out, even though it's not very clear on that image that to carrying handle is not one. It's simply the cheek rest that you see on most rifles of the type. For the bullpup, that design doesn't inspire me that much in aesthetic t...
