Cocoon
What about instead of the arbitrary "Too close to the enemy to evolve", aliens turned into low-health (75?) cocoons for a few seconds before they evolve? Evos should be taken before the alien turns into a cocoon, so if you start as a dretch and try to evolve to a dragoon and die as a cocoo...

Gametype: literal turret farm
Humans are given a field and a fixed amount of turret seeds. Once planted, turret seeds grow into a turret, say, in 2 minutes. Once fully grown, turrets can defend themselves. The goal is to grow at least 75% of the seeds into turrets, then humans win, else aliens win.

Software for turrets and maybe other structures
What about adding an extra element to human gameplay - software that can be installed onto turrets and maybe RC or some other structures? Proprietary software --- Just Works(TM), like magic. Utilizes full the potential of the structures. Players need to buy licenses. The policies may vary: some prop...

I had a dream about Unvanquished
All alien classes had an alternative with long legs (I think that allowed them to move faster at the cosr of health, but not sure): http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3288/2862741523_0f68ca68da.jpg Humans had 3 new weapons: wooden sledgehammer, bronze sledgehammer and steel sledgehammer. I only tried ste...

Re: Pottle is back, let’s translate!
Not like proprietary is an antidote to everything. Actually, lock-down is an antidote to everything, but unfortunately you can't get lock-down in software without making it proprietary. Think about it, dear developers and artists of Unvanquished, don't you owe all your skills to lock-down? It's onl...

Shiny New World!
The Shiny New World is coming, the locked world, the world for people! Resistance is useless! The ONEist Global Government knows what's best for everyone! True freedom comes from lock-down! Therefore, Tremulous 2 might have the future (or might not, since it isn't developed by a corporations, depend...
